Protagonist Concepts: 001(Early stage stuff) - Just exploring some random stuff, this was one of the earliest pieces, done before we even presented the pitch to our lecturers.
Protagonist Concepts: 002 (Early stage stuff) - This was presented in our pitch to our lecturers.
Protagonist Concepts: 003 (Early stage stuff) - This version was to illustrate what his outfit might look like in the dark/low light.
Protagonist Concepts: 004 - Thumbnails. At first the character's background was ex-military, but after some recommendations from our lecturers, the team agreed that it was best to have our protagonist be more of a scrappy technician.
Protagonist Concepts: 005 - Refined sketches from thumbnail selections.
The team voted on their favourites and I refined the sketches from their choices.
Protagonist Concepts: 006 - After a bit more voting and tweaking, we settled on this. (note: the arm was left out of all the concepts because at this point his abilities and functions were not yet finalised.)
Enemy Droid Concepts: 001 (Early stage stuff) - This was presented in our pitch to our lecturers, and at this stage all we really knew about it was that it was a robot that had plants on it.
Enemy Droid Concepts: 002 (Early stage stuff) - This was a low light/dark version
Weapon Concepts: 001 - Thumbnails. The "weapon" in this game is actually a light projector (think flashlight on steroids) that the player would use on the plants.
Weapon Concepts: 002 - Combined the handles, clips and bodies that the team voted for.
Weapon Concepts: 003 - Concept sketches based on team selections.
Weapon Concepts: 004 - Final round of handles, clips and bodies combos for the team to choose from.

Environment Concepts: 002 - Lab. This was a super rough and early lab concept.
Environment Concepts: 001 - This was the first corridor concept. Way too clean for our world.
Environment Concepts: 003 - Second corridor concept.
Environment Concepts: 004 - Open Garden. This was initially an area that we wanted to absolutely fill to the brim with possessed droids, where players would enter and be like: "HOLY F**K NONONO" and just back out.
Environment Concepts: 005 - Arboretum. This is a major area in the game for the player. I designed it with six massive pillars in the center to create a sort of imposing feeling, and also to give the player a sense of the scale of the research.
Environment Concepts: 006 - Arboretum (damaged). This area was always designed with the intent that at any point in the room, most of the rest of it would be at least partially obscured from view, creating some mystery and tension.
Door Concepts: 001 - Initial set of door concepts for the space station.
Door Concepts: 002 - The team voted and we got it down to three choices. From there I fleshed out their opening sequences.
Door Concepts: 003 - CLose up of opening sequences. The team eventually settled on teh third door.
Storyboard Concept: 001 - Successful attack defense. Not exactly concept art, but this was done to conceptualise the protagonist's fighting interactions with the enemy.
Storyboard Concept: 001 - Unsuccessful attack defense. In the end, this animation was scrapped and eliminated from the gameplay.
